The Kentucky Horsewear Chest Protection is ideal for horses that easily get rubbing marks on pressure points. Ideal for horses with sensitive skin or clipped and hard to fit horses
The Chest Protection is used under a stable rug, under rug or turnout rug to prevent rubbing. It’s easy to put on the Protection, you just have to slide the Protection over the neck of the horse and close the Velcro closure behind the front legs.
Fabrics & materials:
The outside of the Chest protection is made from a mix of polyester and lycra. On the inside, the chest protection has a combination of lycra and our well-known artificial fur. The artificial fur is placed on the parts that are most sensitive to rubbing. There is a Velcro closure to secure the Protection behind the front legs.
Shape & size:
The Chest Protection is available in four sizes: S, M, L, XL. It’s available in one classic color, black.
Care guide:
Machine Washable at 30 degrees. However, it is recommended to wash it as infrequently as possible and using a protective washing bags in order to maintain quality over the long term and protect velcro. It is recommended using front load washing machines to limit damage due to the drum of the normal washing machine. To dry it, simply put it outside on a sunny day. The dryer is not recommended.
