Our professional saddle fitting service offers sound, honest advice. We understand the requirements of both horse and rider, cater to all riders from beginner to advanced and to all disciplines, sizes, shapes and budgets.

Although we have many different new and used saddles in our store, we highly recommend you do not to buy before you have had a professional assessment of you and your horse.

What does our saddle fitting service include?

• A detailed phone interview with the rider prior to the on-site appointment. This allows our saddle fitter to identify saddles which should be brought out to the on site appointment.

• An on-site appointment. During this appointment, the horse and rider are measured (templated), saddles will be evaluated with the rider on the horse and off and an explanation of the types of saddles recommended and Janis will explain why the confirmation of your horse requires the recommended saddles. The placement of the saddle, padding choices, and girth choice are discussed in detail.

• Test rides in the saddles prior to purchase. We encourage your trainer/coach to be present at the on-site appointment to view the rider position in the saddle on the horse.

• A follow up call. If you are concerned with anything about your saddle, the saddle fitter will discuss your concerns with you and determine the best course of action.

What are the benefits of getting the correct fit?

• Fitting the rider in the correct saddle often corrects long term positional problems experienced by the rider.

• Conversely, fitting the horse with the perfect saddle often corrects behavioral problems exhibited by the horse or long standing soreness.

• 10% discount on stirrup irons, stirrup leathers, girths and saddle pads (including Mattes pads) when purchased with the saddlE.

• 1 free cleaning product and 10% off any other cleaning products (new saddles only).

• 1 free saddle cover (new saddles only).

• 1 free saddle plate (new saddles only).

What does a saddle fitting cost?

• A professional saddle fitting costs $100.00. This is a one time, non refundable fee.

• A one time, non refundable $60.00 service fee is charged when the saddle fitter is requested to go on-site to discuss the general maintenance requirements (ie. reflocking, new tree, etc.).
